You know all those times when you wake up and realise you've just spent the entire night dreaming you were made of lego?

Ok, just me then.

And they say its now stable?

On Sunday, 13 Iraqis were killed and dozens injured in Baghdad when US helicopters fired on a crowd of unarmed civilians. G2 columnist Ghaith Abdul-Ahad, who was injured in the attack, describes the scene of carnage - and reveals just how lucky he was to walk away.

You may have also missed another story recently. Some weeks ago the US sent a high-ranking Iraqi General into Fellujah to try to calm the whole thing down. He was a 'respected senior army officer' and would 'bring Fellujah back under control within days'. Those words are from a Pentagon spokesman. In reality he was an ex-commander of th Republican Guard and was beheaded 2 days after setting foot in the city.
Fellujah is effectively a no-go zone now.

And they say they are going to hold open elections in Janurary. Right.
